Here are the results of the Time Trial today:

We are holding an informal drop in session for new riders as well as riders that have been before. Come and find out about what coaching Red Rose Olympic will be putting on this season.
Our coaching sessions start in April and are aimed at riders of all abilities. They are great for riders looking to get more confident riding a bike and learn some basic skills to people looking to race or who are already racing.
This was a series of 4 events at UCLan Sports Arena. There were Go-Ride races for younger and novice riders and British Cycling ranking races for older riders who race regularly. There was a short race and a long race for each rider at each event. Tuesday was the final event and Red Rose Olympic had riders on the podium in all the Go-Ride race categories:
Salt Ayre Cog Set hosted round 6 of the North West Youth League. It was a great day with good course and great catering!
The rain held off but the course was wet and slippery from the showers the day before which made the corners and off-cambers challenging.
All the Red Rose riders performed well but Katie did particularly well coming first in the under 8 girls category - well done Katie.
Saturday saw the opening race of the 2017 NWCCA league at Hoghton Tower, and it did not disappoint with 400 riders across all the age categories taking part. The course was challenging made all the trickier by the occasional downpour.
We couldn't make use of the lawns in front of the house this year due to the conditions, but the alternative courses worked well and we appreciated everyone's efforts to keep off.
Red Rose Olympic are hosting round 1 of the North West Cyclocross Association league at Hoghton Tower on Saturday. To be prepared the club has organised cyclocross coaching sessions in Moor Park on Saturday mornings. Lots of skills have been covered including starts, off cambers, cornering, mounts and dismounts and bunny hops.
The sessions are open to both members and non-members and have been well attended with all age groups from under 8 to vets represented.
