Final road session of the season

Saturday was the last of our coaching sessions at UCLAN closed circuit for this year - and it was an action packed session with even the parents learning some new skills!

We started out with a skills session, with the parents learning some group riding skills.

Since it was the last session we had some fun competitive events, starting with a mock stage race with the parents taking the part of the breakaway (using their new group riding skills) and the riders split into three teams with different tactics and a team car (me on my cross bike). The sprinter's team pulled the race back together by the end and won the day.

For the last event parents and riders then made up four teams for a relay race with Aiden securing victory for his team.

Thanks to Pheobe for the card and chocolates!

We're having a couple of weeks off but then we are moving on to cyclocross coaching sessions starting 19th August ready for the upcoming Red Rose Olympic Cyclocross Race.
