NWCC September Race Series
This was a series of 4 events at UCLan Sports Arena. There were Go-Ride races for younger and novice riders and British Cycling ranking races for older riders who race regularly. There was a short race and a long race for each rider at each event. Tuesday was the final event and Red Rose Olympic had riders on the podium in all the Go-Ride race categories:
- Tom Alker won the under 16 Go-Ride series.
- Jenna won the under 14 Go-Ride series.
- Dan came second in the under 12 Go-Ride series.
- Pheobe came second in the under 10 Go-Ride series
- Katie came third in the under 8 Go-Ride series.
Well done to Rhys who put in some great rides in the very challenging under 14 British Cycling ranking series.
Whitby CX
A small contingent from Red Rose headed over the border to Yorkshire for a cyclocross race. Nick showed benefits of training (along with the Red Rose cyclocross coaching sessions) with a top 10 performance, finishing 7th. Phoebe and Katie cheered him on after putting in great rides themselves: Pheobe winning under 10 girls race and Katie winning the under 8 girls race.
A very successful trip to Whitby round of NE cycle cross league - Well done to Nick, Pheobe and Katie.
