Cog Set are looking forward to hosting another year of youth races at their closed circuit in Lancaster. There are races for all youth age groups, boys and girls and is suitable for new and experienced racers.

Entry fees - enter on the day only. U16, U14,U12 - £4.50, U10, U8 - £3.50

The circuit is easy to access off the new bypass road and there is plenty of track side parking.

A British Cycling race licence is required or a day licence can be purchased on the day. Gears will need to be restricted for the appropriate age category.

The North West Youth League is an exciting series of Cycle Race events or “rounds” for Youth racing cyclists in the North West run over the summer months. These events are a step up from Go-Ride races at local clubs and local midweek race leagues at the various North West venues. They bring together regional level talent, with more experience.

Each round includes races for boys and girls from under 8 up to under 16.

This is the third round and will be held at Steven Burke Sports Hub.

9.00am to 10.30am on Saturdays at Preston Sports Arena’s closed road circuit. Aimed at riders of all ages, these sessions will provide progressive coaching sessions for new riders looking to gain confidence on a bike and learn some basic skills through to advanced riders looking to hone their skills and improve their fitness.

The coaching for less experienced riders will use the smaller loop on the track while the more advanced riders will use the larger loop of the track.

£3.00 per session for Red Rose Olympic and other local club members

The NW Regional Youth Circuit Championships is only open to riders residing in the North West Region, riders from other regions will not be accepted.
