The first round of the North West Youth League.

Start time for the race will be confirmed nearer to the event but is likely to be 11.00. am or around that time to allow riders from the Isle of Man to take part.

For those keen to have a go at track cycling or those wanting to improve their track cycling skills take this opportunity to attend a coaching session at the velodrome at the National Cycling Centre, Manchester.

There is no coaching this week due to another event on at the UCLAN arena, so we are having an informal ride around the Guild Wheel.

Meet in the car park at UCLAN arena ready for setting off at 9:00am.

9.00am to 10.30am Saturdays at Preston Sports Arena’s closed road circuit. Aimed at all Youth riders under 16. The coaching will use the smaller loop on the track to provide progressive coaching sessions to new and intermediate riders.

Older riders, those youths with more experience and adults can use the larger loop of the track as an open training activity.

£2.50 per session for Red Rose Olympic members

£3.50 per session for non-Red Rose Olympic members

This is week 3 of a three week series. The first week is on 18th March and the second week is 25th April.

There are two races for each age group on each week of the series. On payment of your entry fee you will automatically be entered into week two and week three - you are entering THREE Events

Sign on opens for D's & E's at 8.30 am, C's at 9.00am, B Boys at 9.45am, A/B Girls 11.00am and A Boys at 12.00

Signing on will close 10 minutes before start of each race

Circuit will be open for warm up from 8.30am until 9.20am

Please do not use the surrounding streets or the car parks to warm up....bring rollers or turbos

Mountain Bike (MTB) coaching at UCLAN in top overflow car park, immediately to the right as you enter the facility from Tom Benson Way.

We will be working on front and rear wheel lifts, step ups, drop offs and more.

Bring your flat pedals to build your skills.

We will be asking for a small coaching contribution to our coaching coffers £2 per head please.

Blackpool Youth Cycle Association are providing winter training at Salt Ayre Sports Centre, Lancaster.

Who is it for?

These winter training sessions are for: Junior, Youth A, Youth B and Youth C riders going into Youth B on 1st Jan 2017. Riders should have group riding experience.
