North West Go-Ride Fast Track Training (coaching) will be a series of coaching sessions throughout the year to provide a platform for youth A,B,C (junior Girls) riders to up-skill all aspects of their riding which will allow a more comfortable transition into CCT and RSR sessions. These are for road and circuit skills and require a road bike.

Session will be physically challenging as well with the aim of providing 70-80% ride time of the session (adjusted to suit the age/level of rider - there will be no slacking in these session though)

Cog Set is looking forward to hosting another friendly yet exciting race series - welcoming back regular competitors and hopefully welcoming some new faces too.

Entry is on the day and is £4.00 for category A, B and C riders and £3.00 for category D and E riders.

Race lengths and approximate timings

6:10pm Sign on and gear checking opens

6:30pm Cat D and E race, 4 laps (3.2 miles/5.1 km)

6:45pm Cat C race, 9 laps (7.2 miles/11.6 km), with primes points at end of lap 5

Sign on will be situated close to the pump track in the centre of the quarry and a route from the car park will be signposted.

9.00am to 10.30am Saturdays at Preston Sports Arena’s closed road circuit. Aimed at all Youth riders under 16. The coaching will use the smaller loop on the track to provide progressive coaching sessions to new and intermediate riders.

Older riders, those youths with more experience and adults can use the larger loop of the track as an open training activity.

£2.50 per session for Red Rose Olympic members

£3.50 per session for non-Red Rose Olympic members
