Cyclocross

Barrow Central Wheelers are pleased to be hosting a Cyclocross event in the North West League at Glaxo Sports Club for the second year running. It will be a full day's racing on a technical course which in the past has been used for the North West championships.  There will be support from the local bike shops and food and drink available.

Plenty of parking, changing rooms, bar and refreshments, come and join in!

This event is restricted to riders resident in BC North East, North West and Yorkshire Regions.  Entrants must have a minimum bronze membership / provisional licence (apart from Under 12s).

After the summer of road cycling skill sessions on the track we are moving off-road to cyclocross skills. The sessions are open to riders of all ages and we'll have a couple of groups so we can have advanced riders honing their skills and novice riders learning some important basic skills. With the first race of the season next weekend, the Red Rose Olympic Cyclocross race at Hoghton Tower, we'll try and cover everything for race day and try and replicate the feel of a race.  

After the summer of road cycling skill sessions on the track we are moving off-road to cyclocross skills. There's a couple of pre-season sessions and then we're hoping to have sessions on any Saturday when there is no race during the season.
