Club Rides

Details of evening rides to be communicated in advance of the events by the volunteer who has created the route. Details will include estimated; speed, distance, route and duration.

Rides to start and return at clubhouse.

These events are typically open to all members based on their ability to ride at a moderate pace, safely on the public highway. All junior riders must be accompanied (suggested lower age of 11 but this is subject to the ability of the rider)

After the summer of road cycling skill sessions on the track we are moving off-road to cyclocross skills. The sessions are open to riders of all ages and we'll have a couple of groups so we can have advanced riders honing their skills and novice riders learning some important basic skills ready for the upcoming Red Rose Olympic Cyclocross race at Hoghton Tower. For this week either a mountain bike or cyclocross bike will be fine.

We'll be having a few pre-season sessions and then we're hoping to have sessions on any Saturday when there is no race during the season.

• Youth A/B 6:30pm, approx 20 laps
• Youth C 7:10pm, approx 8 laps
• 2/3/4 7:30pm, approx 30 Laps. 

There will be small prizes on each night, not part of a points series.

Tonight Colin will present a Cyclocross Racing film: An insane look at the muddy underbelly of this fascinating sport.

Racing starts at 10:00am. Youth riders get two races within this event with points and prizes awarded for the overall result:

Tonight's Club Night will be the first planning session for the Hoghton Tower cyclocross race.

The final round of this season’s Crank It series will return to the popular venue of Gisburn Forest. 

As well as being a great course for spectating, the venue also offers an abundance of extra trails, Gisburn Forest Bike Hub & Cafe and even a Gruffalo Trail!

9.00am to 10.30am on Saturdays at Preston Sports Arena’s closed road circuit. Aimed at riders of all ages, these sessions will provide progressive coaching sessions for new riders looking to gain confidence on a bike and learn some basic skills through to advanced riders looking to hone their skills and improve their fitness.
